What are facial contouring fillers?
Facial contouring fillers are a planned, multi-area approach to facial shape. Instead of filling a single fold, the dermatologist looks at the proportions of the whole face: the curve of the forehead, the fullness of the temples, the height of the cheekbones, the projection of the chin and the line of the jaw. Small volumes of hyaluronic-acid (HA) filler are then placed deep, on bone, at the points that create light and shadow. The result is structure rather than fullness, which is why well-executed contouring often goes unnoticed as filler at all.

1. Consultation & diagnosis

2. Treatment

- Avoid pressure on treated areas for a week: sleep on your back, and skip face-down massage, tight masks and helmets.
- No saunas, alcohol or hard exercise for 48 hours.
- Expect some asymmetry in the first few days from swelling; judge the result at three to four weeks.
- Postpone dental work, facials and other facial injectables for two weeks.
- Contact the clinic immediately if an area turns white or dusky, or if pain increases rather than settles.

How is facial contouring different from regular filler?
