A firm gel is placed deep, directly on the bone, in two main zones: the lateral cheekbone (zygomatic arch) for lift and contour, and the anterior cheek or submalar hollow for softness and fullness.

We generally use high-lift hyaluronic acid gels such as Juvederm Voluma or Restylane Lyft, or Radiesse when a patient wants longer duration and collagen stimulation. Many Korean patients prefer a soft, rounded "apple" cheek rather than a sharp, high Western cheekbone, and we shape accordingly.
