Silhouette Soft is a thread lift system made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), the same material used in collagen-stimulating injectables. Each thread carries small absorbable cones arranged in two directions. Once the thread is placed beneath the skin, the cones on one half anchor into the tissue near the temple or ear while the cones on the other half grip the sagging tissue, so that gentle compression lifts and holds the cheek or jawline in its new position. Over the following months the PLLA stimulates collagen around each cone, building support that persists after the thread dissolves.
The cones give Silhouette Soft a stronger hold than barbed PDO threads, and PLLA absorbs more slowly, which is why results typically last around eighteen months. It is suited to moderate sagging of the mid-face, jowls and neck in patients who want a clear but natural lift without surgery.
