Skin boosters are the treatment international visitors ask about most at Oaro Dermatology Clinic in Apgujeong, and the three names that come up are Rejuran, Juvelook and Skinvive. They are often described as interchangeable. They are not. Each does one job well, and the dermatologist's task is to match that job to what your skin actually lacks.

1. Rejuran: repair

Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide (PN) derived from salmon DNA. It supports the skin's own repair processes rather than adding volume, which makes it the choice for weakened, thin or post-acne skin, enlarged pores and early fine lines. Results build gradually over three sessions spaced about four weeks apart. Expect small bumps for one to two days. Read the full Rejuran Healer guide.

2. Juvelook: collagen

Juvelook combines PDLLA microparticles with hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid gives an immediate softening while the PDLLA stimulates new collagen over two to three months, so it suits pores, acne scars and skin that has lost density. Sessions are usually three to four weeks apart. See the Juvelook guide and the related collagen boosters page.

3. Skinvive: hydration

Skinvive is a lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable designed purely for hydration and glow. It suits dull, dehydrated skin and is popular before events because there is almost no downtime. It does not build collagen in the way Juvelook does; results last around six months. Compare it with other options on our skin boosters hub.

4. How we decide at the clinic

During the consultation we look at hydration, elasticity, pore size, scarring and barrier health. Many patients benefit from a sequence, for example Rejuran to repair the barrier, then Juvelook for density, with Skinvive before travel. Boosters also pair well with Pico toning and Thermage FLX, which is why they sit inside our customizing plans rather than being sold as single products.

Conclusion

Choose the booster by the job, not the brand. A board-certified dermatologist in Apgujeong can tell you in one consultation which of the three your skin needs first. Book a consultation or browse the full list of boosters we offer in Seoul.
