Overview
What is brow lift Botox?
Brow position depends on a balance of muscles. The frontalis in the forehead lifts the brows, while the outer part of the orbicularis oculi, the ring of muscle around the eye, pulls the brow tail down, and the corrugator and procerus muscles pull the inner brow down and in. Brow lift Botox relaxes some of these downward-pulling muscles so the forehead can lift the brow a little higher.
The change is subtle, typically a few millimetres, and most noticeable at the outer brow. It can make the upper eyelid look a little less hooded and the eyes more awake, but it does not remove excess eyelid skin.
How brow lift Botox works at Oaro
At Oaro Dermatology Clinic, a short walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station where Apgujeong meets Cheongdam in Gangnam, Dr. Chang-hyun Kim and Dr. Ji-ho Park assess your brow shape at rest and in movement, the strength of each muscle and any difference between left and right. The plan is often combined with treatment for frown lines or crow's feet, because those muscles overlap. Forehead lines need particular care: relaxing the forehead too much can lower the brows, so doses are balanced across the whole upper face.

Treatment goals
Common goals for brow lift Botox
A softer, less tired look
Low or flat brows can make you look tired or stern when you are not. A small lift at the tail can make the face look more rested without an obvious treated look.
Slightly more open upper eyelids
When the outer brow lifts, a little more eyelid can show, which some people like for eye makeup. This works for mild hooding only.
Better brow symmetry
If one brow sits slightly lower, adjusting the dose on each side can reduce a mild difference, although no face is exactly symmetrical.
Keeping a lift while treating the upper face
If you also want frown or forehead lines softened, a combined plan helps avoid the heavy, flat brow that can follow forehead treatment alone. See also forehead Botox.
Your visit
What to expect
1. Consultation & diagnosis
The dermatologist watches you raise your brows, frown, squint and relax, and may take photographs to compare later. They check whether your forehead is already working hard to hold the brows up, which affects how forehead lines can be treated. Your medical history and medicines are reviewed, and you receive an itemised quote in English.
2. Treatment
The skin is cleansed and a few small injections are placed, usually just under the outer brow and sometimes between the brows. Each takes a second or two and feels like a quick sting. The whole treatment usually takes 10–15 minutes.
3. Aftercare & follow-up
You can go back to your day straight away. The lift develops over about two weeks. We review the result at around two weeks, in person or by message with photographs, and a small adjustment can be discussed if one side has responded differently.
Cost guide
Brow Lift Botox cost in Seoul
Brow lift Botox uses a small amount of toxin, so it is one of the less costly Botox treatments in Seoul. Clinics use Korean-made toxins such as Nabota as well as imported brands. Units differ by brand and cannot be compared one-for-one, so it is more useful to compare the whole plan. Typical ranges in Seoul clinics are below.

| Brow lift with frown lines or crow's feet, Korean-made toxin | ₩80,000–₩250,000 |
| Brow lift only, imported toxin | ₩100,000–₩300,000 |
| Full upper face, imported toxin | ₩250,000–₩600,000 |
Exact pricing is confirmed at consultation after examination.

- Stay upright for about 4 hours and avoid lying face down or bending over for long periods.

- Normal facial expressions are fine; there is no need to exercise or hold the muscles in any position.
- If a brow feels heavy, an eyelid droops or one side looks uneven after the first week, contact the clinic so the dermatologist can review it.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much lift can I expect?
Usually a few millimetres, mostly at the outer brow. It is a refreshing change rather than a dramatic one, and the amount varies with your muscle strength, skin thickness and how far the brow has descended.
What are the risks?
General effects include small bruises, mild swelling, tenderness and an occasional headache. Specific to this area, the brows can end up uneven or over-arched at the tail, and if toxin affects the wrong muscle the brow can feel heavy or, uncommonly, the upper eyelid can droop for a few weeks. These effects fade as the toxin wears off, and accurate placement with conservative dosing reduces the risk.
Who should avoid brow lift Botox?
Postpone treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have an infection on the forehead or around the eyes. It is not suitable if you have a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis or a known allergy to toxin ingredients. Let the dermatologist know about medicines such as aminoglycoside antibiotics and blood thinners, and about any previous eyelid or brow surgery.
Can I combine it with a trip to Seoul?
Yes. Because the lift takes about two weeks to settle, booking early in your stay leaves time for an in-person review before you leave. Flying after treatment is generally fine; just avoid pressing on the brows with a sleep mask on the first day. Oaro is in Gangnam, about 8 minutes on foot from Apgujeong Rodeo Station. If you fly home sooner, our coordinators can review photographs by message.
Is brow lift Botox an alternative to a surgical brow lift?
Not really. It gives a modest, temporary lift for mild brow descent. Significant brow or eyelid drooping is better assessed for surgery, and non-surgical options such as a thread lift may also be discussed where appropriate.
